With its ever changing cosmopolitan skyline there is no surprise that there are more bar launches, restaurant re-births and club re-vamps in Dubai than you can flash your credit card at. So, we have gone in search of some of the cities hottest new opening's for 2008.

Thiptara, The Palace Hotel
A pleasing blend of gorgeous interiors, tasty Thai food and a superb backdrop of the Burj Dubai, a table at this Thai restaurant at the newly opened Palace Hotel in The Old Town may set you back a few bob but makes a pleasant change from the usual gastro haunts of Dubai.

In true Raffles tradition, the newly opened hotel offers us a luxe-laden style bar with Balinese inspired décor and of course a knock out signature cocktail known as none other than the 'Dubai Sling'; a contemporary twist on the classic Singapore Sling.

So it may be a name synonymous with fine Italian cuisine and a deck with one of the finest views in Dubai, but the romantic beachfront Italian restaurant ha had an uber-makeover and is better than ever.

Tribe, Crowne Plaza Hotel
Formally the Ice Lounge and now revamped for Dubai's party-set Tribe, which opened on NYE has a huge metal dance floor with VIP tables on every corner for 'glamming it up' VIP style.

The Flying House, Al Quoz
Clearly targeting itself as an exhibition place as opposed to a gallery or a museum, this new art space specialises in contemporary art from both the Emirates and abroad.

Vista, The Intercontinental Dubai Festival City
As the name suggests this new bar at The Intercontinental boasts some spectacular views. Split into 3 stunningly designed bar areas - a piano bar, cocktail bar and outdoor terrace, it won't be long before Dubai's elite are sipping their weekend cocktails at this uber chic style bar.

If endless nights of monotonous house music are too hectic for you then the new weekly Wednesday night at Keva may be right up your alley with a funky selection of retro lounge and club classics.
